Work In Northern Ireland

Work in the Republic of Ireland
- BUNAC Work in Ireland

Through BUNAC’s Work in Ireland program, you can become a part of everyday Irish life and experience first-hand the charm and the ‘craic’ of the Emerald Isle. As a program participant, you are able to take almost any type of job, anywhere in the country for up to four months, which will help to support your travels and add an international dimension to your resume.

Using program leads or personal contacts, participants work in a wide variety of jobs ranging from office assistant to café worker. BUNAC’s partner agency in Ireland is USIT, specialist in student, youth and independent travel, will administer your arrival orientation and support overseas, while BUNAC will quickly process your visa and provide you with full support before your departure.

To apply to Work in Ireland you must currently be at least 18 years old and a US citizen holding a US passport or a permanent resident/Green Card holder. You must also be a full-time student taking at least 8 credit hours, matriculated towards a degree at an accredited US or Canadian University and you must enter Britain to begin the program within one semester of your last period of full-time study – the ‘semester of eligibility’.

It is your responsibility to obtain a valid US passport.
